Here are our breeds for 2025!

Pocketful Of Sunshine Farm

Marans (Black Copper, Blue Copper, Splash)

Our Marans are breeder stock, not hatchery. They lay anywhere from a 5 to a 9 on the marans scale. We only hatch chicks from our darkest eggs. And while egg color is our 1st priority, we do work hard to conform to SOP standards as much as possible.

Silverudds Blue

Silverudds Blue are a medium sized chicken that lay beautiful green eggs, often with purple speckles! They are a production breed and rarely go broody. They are cold hardy and friendly in nature. My roosters have been homozygous tested and are from Lisa Creekmur lines (sourced from Mika Lindbergh) My hens are from Wabi Sabi Acres and Lisa Creekmur.  Silverudds Blue are a work in progress and our club, American Silverudds Blue Association,  is working hard with APA to develop a SOP guideline.  If you are interested in this breed, consider becoming a club member where you will get first hand updated information on our breed standard.

Mystical Blooms

These chickens are new for 2024 and they are what I am most excited about! A variety of breeds and crosses have went into making this line…including moss eggers from Alchemist Farms, Purple Copper Marans from Crosshatch Farm, Dragon Blooms from Hello Darling Farms, as well as some of my Marans and Olive Eggers that I’ve bred for heavy blooms. These chickens will lay eggs that have a heavier than normal thick bloom…giving the eggs the appearance of being gray, forest brown, pink, and even purple tinted eggs!

Cayuga Ducks

Our cayuga are a work in progress but we are very happy with them! They display a beautiful iridescent black plumage and lay gray to black eggs. The eggs will lighten as the laying season progresses.
