SHIPPING AGREEMENT/Disclaimer

When you order hatching eggs, you agree to the following shipping terms & conditions. There are no exceptions. By making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, and do hereby accept all terms and conditions contained in this Shipping Agreement.

Broken/Lost eggs:

All eggs are carefully wrapped in bubble wrap (or paper towels if it’s cold weather)  by hand and secured into a carton which is then secured snugly in a box.  We make our best efforts to prevent the eggs from shaking within the box during shipping.  With that said, if the post office loses or damages your package, all packages are insured for purchase cost. YOU are responsible for filing a claim with the shipping service (e.g. USPS) to obtain a refund. We suggest taking many photos of any damage for a claim and daving as many salvageable parts of the package as possible.  I will supply you with any information you may need such as our current breed and price list as well as a copy of your purchase receipt.  Once eggs are out of my hands, we are no longer responsible.

Unhatched Eggs:

We are NOT responsible for your hatch rate. Fertility is tested periodically and we keep an adequate rooster to hen ratio.  As a side note, you can NOT verify if an egg has been fertilized after the egg has been incubated–and you are welcome to do your own research on this.  The post office can be hard on eggs and air cells are extremely fragile.  There are many other things that will affect hatch rates including incubator, temp, humidity, etc.  We do our best to pack them securely but if not delivered/handled with the appropriate care (or if by some means delivered late) it greatly effects hatch rate and is totally out of our control.

Extra Eggs:

We try to keep shipping at 35$ per box. We add extra eggs when available and if they will fit.  Sometimes, there are so many eggs in your order that there just isnt any spare room in the box to safely add anymore eggs–in this circumstance,we are happy to provide you with extra eggs if you are in agreement to pay an additionak shipping charge.  You will always receive the eggs you order and the breeds you choose.  We will not substitute a different breed of eggs without your permission.

Chicks

The charge for shipping chicks is 65$.  We will add in extra chicks if available. You can not request the breed or sex of extras. If any chicks that you ordered are DOA, please file a claim with USPS ASAP as the chicks are insured and contact me as well. I am happy to help guide you through this process and provide you with any information you need.   If for some reason your claim is denied, I’ll give you credit to use for a future purchase!
